Reptiles are fascinating creatures with specific care needs. Here's what every reptile keeper should know:

💡 UVB Lighting is Critical

Most reptiles require UVB lighting to synthesize Vitamin D3 and absorb calcium. Without it, they can develop metabolic bone disease. Replace UVB bulbs every 6 months.

🌡️ Temperature Gradient

Create a warm basking spot and a cooler side in the enclosure. This allows your reptile to thermoregulate naturally, just as they would in the wild.

💊 Calcium Supplementation

Dust feeder insects with calcium powder at most feedings, and use a multivitamin supplement once or twice a week to prevent nutritional deficiencies.

🩺 Regular Health Checks

Watch for signs of illness like lethargy, loss of appetite, or abnormal shedding. Find a reptile-experienced vet and schedule annual wellness exams.
